Repair

As you fight your way through Black Desert Online, your equipment will begin to lose durability causing it to eventually reach an unusable state.

To prevent your equipment from breaking, you can visit a Blacksmith or Armor Vendor found in most towns, or you can repair it in your own house with a personal anvil.

Blacksmith Repair

Blacksmiths, Armor Vendors, Stable Keepers, Wharf Managers, and in some cases Arms Dealers, offer various repair services.

Repair Guild Equipment

Repair Ship: This requires your mount to be close to the NPC. You can repair your boats at the Wharf Manager.

Repair Horse Gear: This requires your mount to be close to the NPC. You can repair your horse’s equipment at the Stable Keeper.

Recover Max Durability: When enhancing gear, it loses max durability. You can sacrifice similar items to boost the maximum durability of an item or use Memory Fragments.

Repair Equipped: This will repair all items you have equipped.

Repair in Inventory: This will repair all items in your inventory.

You can always choose to repair a specific item. Right click the item you want to repair.

Restore Durability

When enhancing items with a Black Stone, upon failure the maximum durability of the item is decreased. This means over time, the gear you are trtying to improve will become less durable unless you sacrifice similar items to restore it.

For example, to repair the maximum durability of an Agerian Helmet, you must use another Agerian Helmet for repairs. If you want to repair an Agerian Helmet of Agility, you can either use an Agerian Helmet along with a specific amount of silver, or an Agerian Helmet of Agility, Destruction, Iron Wall, or Sacrifice. The item you choose to sacrifice for the repairs will be destroyed. You can also use Memory Fragments instead.

You also have a small chance to restore one durability to the maximum durability each time the blacksmith repairs your items.

Anvil Repair

You can place an anvil in your residence to repair items. To unlock the repair ability, you will have to obtain the knowledge from a blacksmith. Once you have acquired the knowledge, you can use an item on your personal anvil to repair it. It takes about 20 seconds to restore one durability, however it’s free.
