Initially, your black spirit is a floating ball of black smoke with glowing red eyes, but much like yourself, it will grow as you progress through the world of Black Desert. The black spirit will be your companion, your guide, and that nagging voice that leads you forward.

The Black Spirit will offer quests throughout the game. Often these are triggered by exploring new areas, accepting quests or reaching specific levels. Some of the quests will have you explore ancient artifacts that empower the Black Spirit to unlock new abilities.

After the first awakening of Black Spirit, you will be able to enhance and transfuse your equipment.

Awakening and reawakening of giving additional abilities to the skills are also possible through the Black Spirit.

Black Spirit can be summoned at any time via the shortcut key [/]. If a black spirit quest is available, the icon of Black Spirit will appear at the lower right corner, which can also be summoned using the shortcut key [/].

Black Spirit Menus

Some features are only available through Black Spirit. And they can only be available after completing specific quests or achieving a certain level.

The following statements explain each menu.

• Enhancement

This feature allows you to enhance your equipment using black stones. The stat increased through enhancement overwhelms the default stat of the equipment, so you should consider it as necessary.

• Transfusion

This feature allows you to insert Magic Crystal into equipment with open slots. Various options will be available thereafter.

• Item Upgrade

This feature allows you to give additional effects to equipment items using Armor Reform Stone, Weapon Reform Stone. You can craft a Reform Stone if you set the purpose of house as refinery, and send workers to craft it. Depending on the grade of Reform Stone, the result of reform can be different.

• Guide

When you want to enjoy adventures in other areas besides combat, such as fishing, trading, etc. you can get help from the black spirit.

We also recommend that you listen to the voice of the black spirit as a guide. Since it will guide you through important information on your journey through the black desert.
