Mirumok Destroyer Offin

Mirumok Destroyer Offin has come to Black Desert Online! This boss can be found in the Halo Forest. Offin has a chance to drop the Valtarra Eclipsed Belt and a new yellow grade primary weapon, Offin Tett’s Radiant Weapon.

Offin is stronger than other world bosses and you might find yourself dying quickly if you are not prepared to face him. You will incur a death penalty if you die to Offin which includes exp loss and the chance for your magic crystals to break.

There are two tactics to facing Offin, including a hidden method which involves a matchlock. As Offin already exists as a guild boss, you can reference the guide below to familiarize yourself with the fight.

30 minutes before Offin is due to spawn, a server message will broadcast “Offin has started to absorb the spirit’s power”. At that time, you should make your way to his spawn location, deep in the Halo Forest. Remember that the guild boss version spawns at Mirumok Ruins. Guilds will be unable to spawn Offin via scrolls once the server message has been sent out and any guild already engaged in combat with Offin will have 15 minutes to complete the kill or they will fail.

Offin has high HP and very powerfull attacks. While the recommended AP for the fight is the same as other world bosses (150), it’s recommended to have a DP of 250 before you face him. This will help enhance your survivability and prevent the loss of exp and crystals. You can improve your chance of survival by using specific consumables. Valencia Meals and Steamed Whale Meat are ideal for this fight, as well as the Elixir of Remarkable Will and Steel Defense. It can be difficult to recognize Offin’s attack patterns during the fight due to the large number of other players, so using gear without crystals is also a viable option.

There are two distinct phases to the Mirumok Destroyer Offin fight, Offin, and Offin Tett. If you kill either of these incarnations, the fight will end. There are two ways you can achieve victory. The first of these is to destroy Offin’s barrier and then kill Offin Tett. Or you could destroy Offin’s roots to force Offin Tett to show himself. The most common tactic for this fight is to destroy Offin’s roots. When one of the roots is destroyed, Offin’s barrier will disappear and Offin Tett will emerge from Offin. Once he has been summoned, players can damage Offin Tett freely. Offin Tett will return to Offin after his health reaches 70%.

If two or more roots are destroyed, Offin’s barrier disappears completely and he can be attacked freely. However, his AP and attack speed will increase. As roots are destroyed, Offin Tett will continue to emerge from Offin. His ranged attacks are devastating and he uses two invincible clones to cut down players. Offin Tett can only return to Offin when his HP reaches 70%, after the destruction of the first root, and 20% after the destruction of the second. After this point he can’t return to Offin at all, allowing players to finish him off.

A hidden strategy exists for this fight. Once at least of of Offin’s roots are destroyed, you can use matchlocks to damage the protective barrier where Offin Tett is sitting. If this shield is destroyed, Offin Tett will be unable to return to Offin. In this case, you only have to destroy one root to completely kill Offin Tett. This works best if some players are using matchlocks to destroy the barrier while others engage Offin.

There are several loot items you can receive from Offin Tett. The most sought for is the Offin Tett’s Radiant Weapon, a yellow grade primary weapon added with this boss. This weapon has lower accuracy than Kzarka weapons but has higher AP in addition to Critical Hit +2 and Attack/Casting Speed +2. This weapon either comes from opening Offin Tett’s Sealed Light Weapon box or exchanging 100 Offin Tett’s Light fragments. Light Fragments work like the Latent Auras dropped by other bosses. If you have more than 5, you can talk to the NPC Dikzipo, the blacksmith in Grana, to receive a quest allowing you to exchange the fragments for the weapon.

Other rewards include Valtarra Eclipsed Belt, JIN/BON/WON Cobelinus, Black Magic Crystal Cobelinus, Forest Fury, Lemoria Armor Set, and Black Stones.

The loot will be determined based on how much damage you have dealt to Offin Tett. If you have only attacked Offin’s roots and/or Offin’s protective shield with matchlocks, you will not be able to loot Offin.

If you are one of the top 30 players who contributed to destroying Offin’s roots however, you will be able to loot Offin Tett’s Light Fragments and Offin’s Tendril. If you are one of the top 30 players who contributed to destroying the protective shield with matchlocks, you will have an additional chance to loot Offin Tett’s Light Fragments or Forest Furys.
